As an ongoing webseries, memorabilia.mp4 features artists, scholars, & nostalgia enthusiasts in 1 hour episodes — 20 min talk and 40 min Live Q&A!
Each talk exemplifies what NOSTAGAIN calls ‘generative nostalgia‘, which is a critical engagement with the past which produces something for the present and future. In simpler words, we do not see nostalgia as a passive or lonesome emotion. Memorabilia.mp4 showcases the people who are active, collaborative, and critical with their pasts… and what this nostalgia means for the future.
